News, Events & Activities

The Stone Bridge Chapter meets the fourth Thursday of the month in September, October, January, February, March and April. The May meeting is usually a special activity, scheduled on a mutually agreed upon date; the November meeting is on the third Thursday due to Thanksgiving; and the December meeting is held in conjunction with the DAR Open House.

All meeting programs are focused on attendee involvement (team trivia, show and tell, preparing donations, etc.) In the past, team trivia has focused on subjects such as the Constitution and genealogical research. This activity has provided an educational opportunity for all attendees in an enjoyable environment. The show and tell activity allows participants to showcase a family treasure. Attendees are able to learn more about the Daughters in the Stone Bridge Chapter and a little history (and possibly historic preservation) at the same time. At least one meeting per year is devoted to preparing donations for a mutually agreed upon entity, such as the DAR Project Patriot.

The Stone Bridge Chapter also participates in various local activities, as well as NSDAR sponsored activities. For example, for the past three years, the chapter has participated in the Wreaths Across America Ceremony which is held in early December, and the chapter members have contributed generously to DAR Project Patriot.
